Wild and Wet in Thailand
Are you tired of being shepherded around in buses during your travels?
Sick of the diluted, water downed local culture that you are spoon fed on package tours?
Want to work out your body while taking in break taking local sights?
Now, you can!
Did you know that SAFRA Adventure Club organises frequent adventure trips? In fact, their upcoming adventure in Northern Thailand is taking place between 8 to 12 May. It promises to be an immersive local experience which will excite your senses. Be prepared to head on an odyssey of biking, bamboo rafting and trekking to some inaccessible exotic locales.
You will kick start your journey in Chiang Mai where you will get to bike around the city. Soak in the local history and culture as you zip around this bustling city. Subsequently, you will retreat with your fellow adventurers to the lush green sanctuary of the surrounding jungle.
Heading off the beaten track, you will be trekking the Mae Taeng trail to experience a homestay at an indigenous Karen hill tribe. Once there, you can enjoy an authentic elephant ride through the surroundings as well as whitewater rafting on a bamboo raft through the river rapids.
Following that, you will head on to a Lahu village on the Doi Pu Muen trail. Upon your arrival, join in with the locals as you enjoy activities such as organic farming, fishing and the harvesting of tea leaves.
You will get to taste the fruits of your labour as you will partake in a village feast featuring fresh mouth-watering cuisine. Finally to end off your trip, you will be led by a local guide up to witness a beautiful sunrise from the third highest mountain in Thailand.
So what are you waiting for? Pack your bag and experience a whole new world today!
