SAFRA’s newest club in Punggol estate is almost ready!
Last week, we went on a hard hat tour around the club with Mr Ong Ye Kung, Senior Minister of State for Defence and SAFRA President. MAJ (NS) Terence Quek, Chairman of SAFRA Punggol Development Committee, was also there to give more insights on the club’s exciting offerings.
The first thing you’ll notice is the beautiful cascading architecture of SAFRA Punggol, which is inspired by the surrounding lush greeneries and flowing waters of the Punggol Waterway Park. Even the club interior adopts curvilinear forms and a primacy of the horizontal plane, providing natural sun shading, ventilation and vistas. With naturally ventilated atrium and corridors, full LED lighting, a solar photovoltaic power system and all its vendors adopting a Green Lease agreement, the five-storey club is the first SAFRA club to receive the prestigious Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Green Mark Platinum award.
Located along Punggol Waterway Park, SAFRA’s new waterfront club is a convenient 1-minute walk from Sam Kee LRT station and a 6-minute walk from Punggol MRT station, catering to the lifestyle and lifestage needs of more than 80,000 NSmen residing in the North-East part of Singapore.
On the weekend of 23 and 24 April 2016, SAFRA members can look forward to complimentary access to selected facilities and special discounts at participating merchants at the club to mark its soft opening and welcome NSmen and their families to the new waterfront club Till then, check out our list of fun things you can do at SAFRA Punggol soon!
