ARTS@SAFRA Open Call for Programme Proposals
Calling all budding and experienced artists, we’re looking for you to engage SAFRA members as well as NSmen and their families!
SAFRA has partnered with the National Arts Council (NAC) as part of its Community Arts and Culture Nodes initiative since Sep 2015. With a year-round series of arts activities at four SAFRA clubs – Jurong, Mount Faber, Punggol and Toa Payoh, ARTS@SAFRA aims to broaden access to quality arts programmes, thereby generating awareness and developing greater appreciation of the arts.

ARTS@SAFRA is looking for artists and arts groups who will present performances or installations to provide an enriching and interactive arts experience in one or all of the four SAFRA clubs. Proposed programmes should adhere to the positioning and demographic as follows:

||Arts & Technology
The proposed arts programmes:
||May be based upon a past presentation or restaged work by the submitting artist/group, comprising of one or all of the following:
||An interactive performance with a duration between 45 - 60 minutes that is suitable for a semi-outdoor atrium environment,
||A visual installation that is suitable for a semi-outdoor or indoor atrium environment,
||One or more fringe activities that can complement the performance or visual installation
||Should incorporate educational elements that allows better audience appreciation of the art form, within the performance, installation or fringe activities that can complement the main performance or main installation
||Should showcase one art form that includes music, dance, theatre and/or visual arts
||Should appeal and engage the identified demographic, and where possible, residents in the neighbouring estates, estimating a crowd of up to 30 participants (workshop format), 300 audiences (performances) and 1,000 visitors (installation display over 1 month to 1 year)

The actual date of the performances, installations, workshops and other fringe activities will be determined jointly by both SAFRA and the artist(s) upon appointment.
Proposal submissions can be sent via email to one or all of the following SAFRA clubs, based on preference of location and suitability to each club’s positioning and key demographic.

Please download and complete this form, which must include:
- proposed programme(s) description and executing outline,
- proposed budget with breakdown, project timeline, logistics requirements*,
- your CV, schedule availability and preferred location**.
*Budget Breakdown should indicate separate cost components for:
1) main programming
2) fringe programming that can complement the main programme (where possible),
3) technical setup
4) logistics cost
**ARTS@SAFRA will take the preferred location into consideration. However the final matching of the programme to a location will be at the discretion of SAFRA based on programme suitability.
Results of Submission
Applicants will be notified of the results of proposal submissions from mid Aug 2017.
