ENERGYONE GYMS TO REOPEN WITH ENHANCED SAFETY MEASURES

SAFRA EnergyOne gyms will reopen from Friday, 19 June 2020, as Singapore enters Phase Two of the post-circuit breaker period. Operating hours will remain at 6.30am to 10.30pm daily.

Mandatory Measures

Our gyms will adhere to the mandatory measures announced by the Multi-Ministry Taskforce and Sport Singapore as follows:

SafeEntry: All visitors to the gym will be required to check-in and check-out using SafeEntry to facilitate contact tracing.

Maximum Capacity: Each gym can only admit up to 50 persons at any point in time. When the maximum capacity is reached, subsequent visitors will have to wait in queue to enter. Members who plan to visit the gym will be able to get real time indications of the patronage at each EnergyOne gym through the mSAFRA app.

Safe Distancing: Gym users should maintain a physical distance of at least 2 metres apart while exercising on equipment. Many of our gym equipment have been repositioned, while some are deactivated, to enable users to maintain the required distance. Other areas within our gyms (such as the waiting queue at the customer service counter and changing rooms) will adhere to the safe distance of at least 1 metre.

Wearing of Masks: Masks have to be worn at all times. Gym users may only take them off when engaging in strenuous exercise such as while using the cardio machines.

Safe Management Officer: A safe management officer will be at each gym to closely monitor and ensure compliance by all gym users. Your safety is our top priority and we seek your kind understanding and coorporation.

Additional Safety Measures

To ensure the safety and well-being of our gym users, several additional measures will also be introduced progressively over the next two weeks.

Sanitising Mats: To disinfect the shoe soles of visitors, sanitising mats will be placed at all entrances to EnergyOne gyms. When a person steps onto the mat, the disinfection solution will be pushed into the treads of the footwear to sanitise it.

Self-Disinfecting Coating: All gym equipment and commonly touched surfaces will also be applied with a self-disinfecting coating. The SDPro anti-microbial coating kills viruses, bacteria and fungi when it comes into contact with the treated surfaces, but is safe on human skin. It is able to remain in place even with repeated cleaning as it adheres tightly to surfaces at a molecular level, and can last for up to 6 months with each application.

Sanitising Wipes: Gym users will be encouraged to clean the equipment after use with sanitising wipes that will be made readily available through dispensers located at different parts of the gym. This is in addition to the provision of hand sanitisers and the stepped up cleaning frequency of equipment and common areas by EnergyOne to ensure a high level of hygiene.

Shields Between Cardio Equipment: As part of a trial, shields will be installed between cardio machines such as treadmills, stationary bikes and steppers at the SAFRA Punggol gym as an additional safety barrier to minimise the dispersion of respiratory droplets while gym users engage in high intensity workout. These shields will also be applied with the self-disinfecting coating and cleaned frequently. The shields will be reviewed subsequently for other gyms.

Streaming Fitness Programmes: Members can tune in to a wider range of online fitness programmes at our EnergyOne Facebook page to support you in your fitness journey. There will be live stream training sessions ranging from strength to interval training workouts every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. These will be conducted by our fitness instructors at 12.30pm so that you can squeeze in some exercise during lunchtime even when you work from home.

Others: Steam rooms and Jacuzzis will remain closed.

Affected EnergyOne Gym members will have their gym and IG membership validity periods automatically extended by a duration equivalent to mandated facility closures.

NATIONAL DIGITAL CHECK-IN SYSTEM TO BE INTRODUCED AT ALL SAFRA CLUBS

The SafeEntry national digital check-in system, which logs visitors’ and employees’ names, NRIC/FINs and mobile numbers to facilitate contact tracing, will be deployed at all SAFRA clubs from 12 May 2020.

Each club will have a unique QR code displayed at the entry checkpoint for visitors to scan to check in. The same unique QR code will also be displayed at the exit point for visitors to scan upon check-out.

The following are the simple steps on how to use SafeEntry at our clubs:

Visitors who do not have smartphones or are unable to access SafeEntry may still check in by providing your NRIC, driver’s license or TransitLink concession cards for barcode scanning upon entry and exit, or provide these details to our checkpoint employees for manual submission.

The check-in process via SafeEntry complements the mandatory temperature checks and declarations on health and travel history that are still required to gain entry to SAFRA clubs. These efforts are aimed at further enhancing safety for our members and the community as the circuit breaker measures are gradually eased by the authorities.
