SAFRA Singapore Bay Run & Army Half Marathon 2022

SSBR-AHM-Event-Banner

The SAFRA Singapore Bay Run & Army Half Marathon (SSBR & AHM) will return this year as a virtual run from 25 September to 23 October 2022. Runners can continue to enjoy the flexibility and convenience of being able to chart their own preferred running routes and run anytime during the month-long event to support their fitness goals.

The virtual event will feature the signature 21km Half Marathon, 21km Cumulative Challenge and Families for Life 10km Cumulative Challenge. In commemoration of 55 years of National Service, a new NS55 Cumulative Team Challenge has also been introduced to encourage SAF NSmen to participate together in teams of up to five members and complete a total distance of 55km.

Jointly organised by SAFRA and the Singapore Army to promote an active fitness culture and strengthen bonds among national servicemen (NSmen) and their families, the 28th edition of the event builds on the success of its first virtual edition held last year which attracted close to 29,000 participants, making it the largest virtual run in Singapore.

HOW IT WORKS

Before you get started, you will need to choose a GPS fitness tracking app that you are familiar with to help you track your runs. Here are the two ways you can submit your running records as proof of your participation in this virtual event:

Methods of Submission
Method 1:
Automatic Submission

(Only available for Garmin and Strava)
If you are using the GPS Fitness Tracking Apps Strava or Garmin to track your runs, you can auto-sync your running records between the Strava or Garmin app with your 42race account.

Before you start running, make sure that your preferred app is connected to the 42Race app by following the steps below:
  1. Open the 42Race app
  2. Open the navigation menu by clicking on the top right icon.
  3. Click “Connect an App”
  4. Select either “Garmin” or “Strava”
  5. Click on the “Connect” button at the bottom of the page.
  6. Log into your Garmin or Strava account with your username and password.

Method 2:
Manual Submission

(Available for all GPS Fitness Tracking Apps)
If you are using other GPS Fitness Tracking Apps, you will need to submit screenshots of your running records with the following items captured clearly:
  • Date of run
  • Distance covered
  • Time taken
The screenshots can be submitted manually by following the steps below:
  1. Visit www.42race.com or download the 42Race mobile application and log in to your account.
  2. Select ‘Submit my run’ followed by ‘Next’.
  3. Upload a screenshot of the GPS fitness tracking app you used to show the date of your run, distance covered and time taken, fill in the data and select ‘Next’.
  4. Fill in your running journal (optional) and select ‘Submit’.

Upon submission of your running records, the progress bar will be updated accordingly. Once you have successfully completed the distance of the category you’ve signed up for, the progress bar will turn green and your e-Badge will light up.
