Membership Sign-up/Renewal Terms & Conditions

  • Ordinary/Associate Membership Promotion is only applicable for:

    1. Ordinary/Associate members (excluding SAFVC)

    2. New sign-ups/renewals from 1 May – 30 Sep 21(both dates inclusive)

  • Maximum membership tenure including advance renewal is capped at 12 years (i.e. until 2033).

  • Not applicable for Life or Dependent membership sign-ups/renewals.

  • Strictly no refund of membership fees for all sign-ups/renewals.

  • SAFRAPOINTS cannot be used to pay for SAFRA Membership application or any other ongoing SAFRA Membership promotions.

  • NS Excellence Award (NSEA) vouchers cannot be used with any ongoing SAFRA Membership promotions and are applicable only against a 2-year SAFRA Membership subscription at standard pricing (i.e. excluding discount).

  • This promotion is only valid for one-time sign-up only.

  • This promotion is not valid with other SAFRA membership promotions.

  • These Terms and Conditions shall be read in conjunction with the SAFRA General Membership Terms & Conditions. In the event of any inconsistency, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.

  • SAFRA’s decision on all matters relating to this Promotion is final and binding on all qualified SAFRA members.

  • SAFRA may vary these Terms and Conditions without notice, or withdraw or discontinue the Promotion at any time without any notice or liability to any party. In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and any brochures, marketing or promotional materials relating to the Promotion, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.

  • The qualified members consent under the Personal Data Protection Act (Cap 26 of 2012) to the collection, use and disclosure of the Qualified SAFRA members’ personal data by/ to the SAFRA’s agent or vendors and such other third party for the purpose of the Promotion.

SAFRA Family Scheme (1st Dependent) Promotion Terms & Conditions

Membership Sign-up/Renewal Terms & Conditions

  • SAFRA Family Scheme Promotion is only applicable for:
    1. 1st Dependent member of each family unit

    2. Female spouses and children (aged 5 – 20)

    3. New sign-ups/renewals till 31 Mar 22

  • SAFRA Family Scheme subscription must be accompanied by a valid Principal membership and the expiry date of the SAFRA Family Scheme must not exceed that of the Principal membership.

  • Female spouses and children of Ordinary A (excluding NSFs)/ Ordinary B/ Associate/ Life members are eligible for SAFRA Family Scheme.

  • Child Dependent members’ age must be lower than 21 years old at the end of the membership tenure.

  • For a female spouse’s new application, a copy of marriage certificate is required as documentary proof.

  • For a child's new application, a copy of birth certificate is required as documentary proof.

  • Maximum membership tenure including advance renewal is capped at 12 years (i.e. until 2033).

Membership Bonus Draw (“Lucky Draw”) Terms and Conditions

Eligibility

  1. The SAFRA Membership Bonus Draw (“Lucky Draw”) is exclusively open to all newly subscribed or renewed members from 1 May 2021 – 30 September 2021.

  2. By participating in the Lucky Draw, the Member agrees that SAFRA may collect, use and disclose his/her personal data (including but not limited to name, identification number, email address and contact number) for the purposes of administering the Lucky Draw and for contacting him/her in relation to the Lucky Draw.

  3. In the event that the Member is a winner, his/her membership ID may be published through SAFRA’s various media channels to announce the winners, and for publicity and marketing purposes permitted under the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). As a condition of receiving the prize, the Member agrees to cooperate with and participate in the activities organized by SAFRA for these purposes and consent to his/her personal data (including name, identification, image, photographs, voice and video recordings) being collected, used, disclosed, or transmitted between SAFRA and its business partners/ co-organisers /third party vendors/ service providers or affiliated organisations for the purposes mentioned above or as may be permitted under PDPA without further notification, remuneration or compensation to the Member. For more information on use of personal data, please refer to SAFRA’s Privacy Policy.

  4. Any member who does not wish to participate in the Lucky Draw can contact SAFRA via email at mship_mktg@safra.sg to indicate his intention to be excluded from the Lucky Draw.

  5. The closing date for the Lucky Draw is 30 September 2021 (“Closing Date”).

  6. Members shall be disqualified from participating in the Lucky Draw if by the Closing Date:

    1. The membership of the participating Member is voluntarily terminated and not renewed;

    2. The membership of the participating Member is terminated and/or suspended by SAFRA for any reason whatsoever and not reinstated by the Closing Date;

    3. The Membership Account of the participating Member is in arrears; or

    4. The membership of the participating Member is no longer valid for any reason whatsoever.

  7. The following persons are not eligible to participate in the Lucky Draw:

    1. Employees of SAFRA and their immediate family members, including their spouse(s), children, parents, parents-in-law and siblings;

    2. Honorary Members, Members of SAFRA’s Board of Governors, Management Committee and Executive Committee, as well as their immediate family members, including their spouse(s), children, parents, parents-in-law and siblings;

    3. Members who are given trial SAFRA Membership (Ordinary A F).

    For the avoidance of doubt, in the event of any dispute, SAFRA shall determine at its sole discretion the eligibility of any prospective participant, and its decision in this respect is final

  8. Notwithstanding any conditions stated herein, SAFRA reserves the sole and absolute discretion to determine the eligibility of any person in relation to the Lucky Draw, and SAFRA may at any time before, during or after the Lucky Draw disqualify any person from participation in the Lucky Draw without providing any reason whatsoever.

  9. Participation in the Lucky Draw is subject to the terms and conditions stated herein and the Member agrees to be bound by and to comply with the terms and conditions stipulated. Entry into the Lucky Draw is deemed as acceptance of the terms and conditions herein, and any amendments, modifications and variations hereto, which shall be final and binding in all respects on each participant.

Lucky Draw Chances

  1. Qualifying members will be entitled to varying Lucky Draw chances based on the following criteria:

    • For every one (1) member newly subscribed or renewed from 1 May 2021 – 30 Sep 2021 (both dates inclusive), one chance will be allocated.

    • All chances will be tagged under the Principal membership account for each family unit under the SFS.
  2. All Lucky Draw chances will be generated at the backend and the list of winners will be computer-generated. No coupons or tickets will be issued. SAFRA shall not be responsible or liable for delayed, lost or misdirected entries and submissions caused by any reason whatsoever.

  3. The total number of Lucky Draw chances allocated to each family unit shall be determined by SAFRA in its sole discretion, whose decision shall be final and conclusive.

  4. Lucky Draw chances accumulated are not transferable and will be cancelled by SAFRA, without incurring any liability, upon the suspension, cancellation and/or termination of any SAFRA membership account.

  5. The total number of Lucky Draw chances allocated shall only be applicable for this Lucky Draw and rollovers of chances to any subsequent lucky draws, if any, are not allowed.

Results & Prizes

  1. A total of 20 winners will be selected to win one of the prizes listed in the prize list (see Annex A).

  2. Each winner is only entitled to win one prize regardless of how many times his name is generated by the system as winner for the Lucky Draw.

  3. SAFRA may in its sole and absolute discretion substitute any prize with another prize of similar value without prior notice.

  4. The draw will be held in November 2021 at SAFRA Mount Faber, Level 3. The details of the draw will be listed on SAFRA’s website closer to the date of the said draw.

  5. The results of the Lucky Draw will be published on SAFRA’s website and advertised in the newspaper or any other media platform which SAFRA may decide in its sole discretion, within ten (10) days from the date of the draw, or within such time period as SAFRA may in its discretion deem fit.

  6. All winners of the Lucky Draw will be notified by phone and/or email and receive a notification letter by post at the respective winner’s last known address as maintained in SAFRA’s records after the draw is conducted.

  7. No replacement will be provided by SAFRA for any damaged or loss of redemption letter.

  8. Prizes are neither transferrable nor exchangeable for cash, credits or otherwise.

  9. All redemptions of the prizes shall be made at the respective locations stipulated in the redemption letter issued. The winner shall be required to present the redemption letter as well as his or her SAFRA membership card evidencing valid subsisting membership as at the date of redemption for the prizes. Members shall upon redemption of any prizes in the Lucky Draw be required to acknowledge due receipt of the same and to duly execute a Declaration Form prepared by SAFRA to that effect.

  10. In the event that the winner is unable to collect the prize personally and wishes to authorise a person (proxy) to collect on his/her behalf, he/she is required to write in to mship_mktg@safra.sg at least two (2) working days in advance of the preferred collection date. The winner must prepare a letter of authorisation to authorise the proxy to collect the prize and the latter would be required to acknowledge receipt of the prize on behalf of the winner. Supporting documents of the winner and the identification of the authorised person must be produced during collection.

  11. SAFRA reserves the right to forfeit any unclaimed prizes after the collection deadline stated in the notification letter, and any winner whose prize has been forfeited shall not be entitled to any payment or compensation.

  12. SAFRA is not an agent of, nor affiliated with the agency providing the prizes. The redemption and/or usage of the prizes are subject to such other terms or conditions that the agency supplying the prizes may impose. Accordingly, any issue or dispute about the quality, satisfactory quality and fitness for purpose of the prizes must be resolved directly with the agency supplying the prizes respectively.
  13.  For the avoidance of doubt, any validity date stated by SAFRA or the relevant agency for utilization of prizes must be strictly adhered to. All unused/unredeemed prizes shall be deemed null and void, and no requests for extensions or replacements whatsoever will be entertained.

General Terms & Conditions

  1. Any trademarks, graphic symbols, logos or intellectual property contained in any materials used in connection with the Lucky Draw or the prizes are the property of their respective owners.

  2. SAFRA’s decision on all matters relating to and/or in connection with the Lucky Draw, including but not limited to the eligibility of a member, the manner in which the prizes are awarded to the winner and the conduct of the Lucky Draw, shall be final and binding on all parties concerned. SAFRA shall not be obliged to enter into any correspondence with any member on any matter concerning the Lucky Draw.

  3. SAFRA shall not be liable in any way to any member or any other person for any loss or damage arising in connection with the Lucky Draw, including but not limited to any act or omission relating to the Member’s participation in the Lucky Draw, howsoever caused.

  4. The Member shall fully indemnify and hold SAFRA harmless from and against any loss, damage, cost, liability or expense (including but not limited to legal fees), whether direct or indirect, which SAFRA incurs in respect of, in connection with and/or arising from the Member’s breach of these terms and conditions herein.

  5. To the maximum extent permitted by law, each member agrees that SAFRA and their officers and/or authorised representatives shall not be liable for loss, claims or damage of any kind arising out of or in connection with participating in the Lucky Draw, the Member’s acts, omissions or negligence, and/or from acceptance or use or misuse of the prizes. Each member agrees to waive, release and indemnify SAFRA from the abovementioned claims and liabilities.

  6. The winner(s) and/or other person(s) who benefit from the prizes are to redeem and/or utilize the prizes at their own risk. SAFRA will not be responsible for any injuries, loss, claim or damage suffered or incurred as a result of the redemption or usage of the prizes.

  7. SAFRA reserves the right to revise the terms and conditions of the Lucky Draw stated herein (including but not limited to varying the Closing Date of the Lucky Draw) or withdraw or terminate the Lucky Draw at any time without prior notice. In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions with any other form of publicity collaterals relating to the Lucky Draw, these terms and conditions shall prevail.

  8. The terms and conditions of the Lucky Draw whether set out herein or otherwise are not intended to confer any right on any third party, whether pursuant to the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act or otherwise, and no third party shall have any right to enforce any provision of these terms and conditions.

  9. The Lucky Draw and the terms and conditions herein shall be construed and governed by the laws of Singapore.

Terms and conditions for all promotions:

  • Present valid SAFRA card (physical/digital) at participating outlets to enjoy the promotion(s) where applicable..

  • Partnering merchants reserve the right to amend / append / withdraw terms and conditions without prior notice.

  • Collection of personal data by partnering merchant(s) for the said promotion(s) is strictly for their own business requirements. SAFRA is not responsible for the collection, use and disclosure of the Personal Data by Merchant for the promotion(s).

  • SAFRA is not liable for any loss of personal data resulting from any provision of personal data by the individual to the merchant for the purpose of using their service or product.

  • SAFRA is not an agent of the partnering merchants. Any dispute regarding the quality or service standard must be resolved directly with the respective merchants. SAFRA will not assume any liability or responsibility for the acts of the merchants or any defects in products or services offered in the promotion.
