This Halloween, SAFRA Punggol and Keng Eng Kee (KEK) dare you to enter and experience a one-of-a-kind haunted food trail — where eerie tales and delicious bites come together for a spine-tingling (but tasty) night out.
As night falls and shadows creep in, the restaurant descends into darkness, morphing into a shadowy maze haunted by restless spirits from Chinese folklore and twisted Halloween myths.
Guided only by flickering lights and your nerve, you’ll wind through the haunted zones where each corner reveals a new 'dish' — but these aren't your usual zi char favourites. They are inspired by ancient horrors, and once served… they may not let you leave. Each bite - a brush with the beyond.
What would you be expecting:
Zone 1: “Bloody” Xiao Long Bao (血色小笼包)
– Black charcoal dumpling skin filled with spicy chili oil soup base (so it “bleeds” when you bite).
– Served with a syringe of chili oil for effect.
Zone 2: Mummy Char Siu Buns (木乃伊叉烧包)
– Strips of dough wrapped around mini char siu buns like mummy bandages, baked till golden.
Zone 3: Charcoal Egg Tart (黑暗蛋挞)
– Black charcoal crust with bright orange custard — spooky but tasty.
Zone 4: Blood Orange Bubble Tea (血橙珍珠奶茶)
– Deep red drink with black pearls — the perfect Halloween beverage.
Completion - Zombie Fried Rice (僵尸炒饭)
– Black rice or squid ink fried rice with green peas, scrambled egg “brains,” and a drizzle
of sriracha.
*Please note that the food bites are tasting portions only and is not intended to be a full meal. The food is not halal-certified and might be subjected to changes.
