Filmhouse

Filmhouse: A Beloved Arthouse Spirit Finds Its Way Home at Golden Mile Tower

Date: Opens from 3 February 2026
Location: Golden Mile Tower, 6001 Beach Road, #05-00, Singapore 199589
Tickets: From $13

Rising from the void left by The Projector’s closure, Filmhouse opens at Golden Mile Tower as both a homecoming and a quiet act of defiance for Singapore’s film lovers. Led by familiar names from The Projector’s core team, the independent cinema recommits to treating film with care — pairing award-winning new releases with curated arthouse, cult and classic titles, and anchoring cinema as a shared, communal experience. Even in its soft-opening phase, Filmhouse signals ambition: upgraded projection and sound, a reimagined foyer by designer Nathan Yong, revived murals by Speak Cryptic, and the return of post-screening debates at Trailer Bar, run by the team behind Enclave. With thoughtfully themed programming, from Found Families to Valentine’s counter-romance Love is a Monster, and the return of Pink Screen this Pride Month, Filmhouse is less about nostalgia than renewal, proving that in a fragmented digital age, gathering in the dark to watch stories unfold together still matters.
