Eligibility

To be eligible for the SAFRA Family Care, you must satisfy the following criteria:

  • The Applicant and each of his dependent (including spouse and child) must be a member of SAFRA;
  • The Applicant and each dependant must be between 19 to 70 years old (age next birthday), save that where a dependant is a child such dependant must be between 6 to 21 years old (age next birthday);
  • Singapore citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident or who holds a valid employment pass and dependant pass in Singapore;
  • Residing in Singapore (not out of Singapore for more than 90 continuous days during the coverage period).
  • You and your dependant(s) (id any) must have an occupational classification of Class 1 to Class 3.
Class 1Clerical, administrative or other similar non-hazardous occupations
Class 2Occupations where some degree of risk is involved, e.g. Supervision of manual workers, totally administrative job in an industrial environment
Class 3Occupations involving regular light to medium manual work but no substantial hazard which my increase the risk of sickness or accident

This policy is protected under the Policy Owner’ Protection Scheme which is administered by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation (SDIC). Coverage for your policy is automatic and no further action is required from you. Terms and conditions (1 March 2025 to 31 December 2025) 
SAFRA Family Care Benefit (The "Benefit")

  1. This Benefit of a free 1-year SAFRA Family Care Insurance Policy (the "Free Insurance Policy") underwritten by Singapore Life Ltd. ("Singlife") and applied through Professional Investment Advisory Services Pte. Ltd. ("PIAS"), is valid for members of SAFRA National Service Association ("SAFRA"), the master policyholder, and their dependants from 1 March 2025 until 31 December 2025 (both dates inclusive) (the "Benefit Period"). PIAS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Singlife.
  2. To be eligible for this Benefit, you need to meet all the following criteria to qualify ("Eligible Participant"):
    1. You must be a SAFRA member;
    2. If you wish to include your dependant(s), i.e., spouse and child(ren) under the policy coverage, each of your dependants(s) must also be a SAFRA member;
    3. Both you and each adult dependant you wish to cover must be between 19 to 70 years old (at your/their next birthday), save that where a dependant is a child, the dependant must be between 6 and 21 years old (at your/their next birthday);
    4. You must be a Singaporean citizen, Singapore Permanent Resident, or hold a valid employment pass and/or dependant's pass in Singapore;
    5. You must reside in Singapore (not out of Singapore for more than 90 continuous days during the coverage period);
    6. You and any dependant(s) you wish to cover must have an occupational classification of Class 1 to Class 3; and
    7. You must agree to be contacted by a financial adviser representative from Affinity Business Branch, an authorized branch of PIAS, regarding the free insurance policy underwritten by Singlife.
  3. After you confirm your eligibility for this Benefit and fill up the SAFRA interest registration form at http://www.safra.sg/our-services/safra-insurance/safra-family-care, PIAS will contact you regarding your application for the Free Insurance Policy. PIAS reserves the absolute right to verify if a member is eligible for the Free Insurance Policy.
  4. The Free Insurance Policy will start 14 days from the date of completion of the insurance policy application, and the policy terms and conditions will apply.
  5. A Member must ensure that accurate and valid particulars (including mobile number and email address) are provided to PIAS. PIAS will not be liable if it is not able to contact a Member for the Free Insurance Policy application as a result of inaccurate particulars given by a Member (including wrong mobile number or email address provided).
  6. Each Member is entitled to only one Free Insurance Policy during the Benefit Period, regardless of the number of applications.
  7. This Benefit cannot be exchanged for cash or other products. If the Member cancels the policy, he/she will not receive any refund of the Free Insurance Policy or the premium for the policy.
  8. This Benefit is non-transferable, non-replaceable, non-cumulative and cannot be used in conjunction with any other Benefits, offers, rewards, loyalty programmes and/or discounts.
  9. By participating in this Benefit,
    1. you consent to SAFRA collecting, using and disclosing your personal data to PIAS for the following purposes:
      • for the administration of the Benefit, including the third parties administering the Benefit and redemption of the Free Insurance Policy, and any third parties that PIAS may, in its absolute discretion, consider appropriate or necessary in connection with the Benefit;
      • to provide you with information on products and services relevant to your needs or policy(ies), as well as to provide financial advice or product recommendations, via call, email and messages on any messaging platform (including SMS); and
      • for statistical, research, audit, compliance and regulatory purposes; and
    2. you consent to PIAS collecting, using, processing, disclosing and/or transferring your personal data to PIAS related companies (including Singlife), third party service providers, agents and contractors of PIAS and product providers, whether located in Singapore or elsewhere, for the above mentioned purposes.
    3. You also consent to PIAS disclosing your personal data (namely your SAFRA Membership ID. name, email and mobile number) to SAFRA for the purposes of validating your eligibility.

  10. PIAS has the full discretion to change the mechanics of the Benefit including the Benefit Period and the Free Insurance Policy without any prior notice to eligible Members or members of the public. PIAS reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion from time to time to vary, amend, delate or add to any of these terms and conditions (including the type and value of the Free Insurance Policy), or to withdraw, terminate or suspend the Benefit at any time without notice, reference or liability to any person or party.
  11. PIAS shall not be liable to any party, whether in contract or tort (including negligence) or otherwise, for any liabilities, losses and damages, claims, costs and expenses (including any special or consequential damages or losses) in connection with, related to or resulting from this Benefit.
  12. By participating in this Benefit, you accept that PIAS's decision on all matters relating to the Free Insurance Policy under this Benefit, is final and binding on you. If there is any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and any brochure, marketing or promotional material relating to the Benefit, these terms and conditions will prevail.
  13. A person who does not participate in the Benefit shall have no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 2001 to enforce these terms and conditions.
  14. The terms of the Benefit will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore.

  1. What is the SAFRA Family Care insruance plan?
    The SAFRA Family Care insurance plan underwritten by Singapore Life Ltd ("Singlife"), is a complimentary one-year Personal Accident insurance coverage exclusively for SAFRA members, when applying through Professional Investment Advisory Services Pte Ltd ("PIAS"). It provides financial protection for members and their families in the event of unforeseen circumstances.   2. What does the SAFRA Family Care insurance plan cover?
    The plan provides S$50,000 in coverage per insured member for both SAFRA principal and dependant members (spouse and children). Please refer to the "Product Summary" and "Terms & Conditions" provided by PIAS for coverage details, including benefits such as accidental death, accidental total and permanent disability, and medical reimbursement.

  3. When will coverage start?
    The insurance coverage is valid for one year and will commence 14 calendar days from the date the application is submitted to Singlife via PIAS.

  4. Are there any charges for the SAFRA Family Care insruance plan?
    No, eligible SAFRA members can enjoy this insurance plan free of charge for one year as part of the SAFRA-PIAS partnership.

  5. Will I be charged once the free insruance period ends?
    No, the policy will terminate after one year, and no charges will apply. Members do not have the option to continue the SAFRA Family Care plan at their own cost, as this plan is not available for purchase. If members require extended coverage, they can purchase from PIAS's suite of products.

  6. Am I eligible for the coverage if I am not working?
    Yes, non-working spouses and children are eligible for coverage. They will fall under Class 1 (clerical, administrative or other similar non-hazardous occupations).

  7. I have registered my interest for the free SAFRA Family Care insurance but have yet to receive a call from PIAS.
