Designed for babies aged 6 to 23 months young, this signature SAFRA event transforms crawling, toddling and those wobbly first steps into a full-fledged family spectacle. Picture this: rows of determined little racers on the cushioned race mat, eyes locked on the finish line where mum and dad await… armed with toys, snacks and plenty of cheers. It’s less about speed, more about smiles, and entirely about creating unforgettable first milestones.
More than just a race, SAFRA Diaper Dash is a celebration of family bonding, something SAFRA has long championed through its community events. Year after year, the event brings together NSmen and their families in a shared moment of joy, turning simple achievements into lasting memories.
Participants can look forward to age-based race categories tailored to different developmental stages, ensuring every baby gets their moment to shine. Each participant who signs up can receive an event t-shirt for the participating baby, a finisher medal and a goodie bag worth $50. On top of this, the fastest babies can win top three prizes of $300, $200 and $100 cash plus prizes from sponsors and consolation prizes for the 4th to 10th places.

Set up a short crawling or walking path at home and encourage your baby to move towards you. Keep sessions light and playful as this builds familiarity without pressure.
Whether it’s a beloved toy or snack, a strong incentive at the finish line can work wonders.
Take note of your allocated race slot and make sure to try and fit it around your baby’s nap and feeding times. A well-rested, well-fed baby is far more likely to be in a happy, cooperative mood.
Dress your baby in the comfy event tee provided plus a secure diaper so your little one can move freely without any distractions. As a supportive parent, try to dress comfortably too as you will need to assist your child on the race day by bending down or squatting physically around the race area.
Arrive earlier on the race day so your baby can get used to the environment. Familiarity helps reduce stage fright when it’s time to dash.
