Whether it is dads and kids teaming up for hands-on challenges at Operation: Dad Mode Activated, young participants discovering resilience and teamwork through the NS Experience Camps, or football fans soaking in the energetic atmosphere of SAFRA Football Bonanza 2026, these events highlight SAFRA’s continued commitment to bringing families, NSmen and the wider community together through fun, engaging and memorable shared experiences.
This June, Operation Dad & Me celebrates fathers who serve both the nation and their families with a month-long line-up of meaningful bonding activities across SAFRA clubs. From assembling and flying drones together at the “Mission: Assemble & Fly” workshop to conquering interactive team challenges at “Mission: Buddy Challenge”, SAFRA members can look forward to exclusive experiences designed to create lasting memories between parent and child. To top it off, dads can also enjoy a complimentary meal through “Mission: Dad’s Recharge Retreat”, making this Father’s Day celebration a well-deserved tribute to the everyday heroes at home.

From military-inspired outdoor adventures to family bonding experiences and hands-on introductions to the SAF, NS Experience Camps are designed to give participants of all ages a deeper appreciation of National Service and Total Defence through immersive, engaging activities. Young recruits can experience the flagship Basic Military Training Children’s Edition (BMTCE), where they learn resilience, teamwork and confidence through jungle navigation, tent pitching and outdoor cooking, before progressing to specialised camps such as the Basic Intelligence Training Children’s Edition (BITCE), which introduces critical thinking and digital defence concepts, the Basic Diver Training Children’s Edition (BDTCE), featuring Navy-inspired water survival and snorkelling activities, and the Basic Flyer Training Children’s Edition (BFTCE), which offers an exciting glimpse into aviation and the Air Force. Beyond the children’s camps, SAFRA also runs family-oriented NS Experience Camps and initiatives such as NS for Everyone and Empowering NS for Women, helping Singaporeans from all walks of life better understand the values, camaraderie and shared responsibility behind National Service in a fun and accessible way.
