NS Experience Camps

ABOUT NS EXPERIENCE CAMPS

The National Service (NS) Experience Camps return this year with an expanded range for families, children and women. These camps offer a rare opportunity to step into the world of NS to build shared memories, strengthen bonds and enable the community to better understand what national servicemen go through to defend our country and their loved ones.

Through NS-inspired activities and mission-based scenarios, participants learn about the importance of teamwork, unity, looking out for one another and having resilience. Along the way, these activities will also spark meaningful conversations about the importance of defence, why our national servicemen serve and the community’s shared role in keeping Singapore safe.

Every camp is guided by trained facilitators and designed to be fun, safe and build confidence. Participants can look forward to NS-inspired activities such as:

• Basha building and outdoor cooking
• Field skills and simple drills
• Team missions and battle inoculation
• Passing Out Parade (POP) with plenty of proud moments, and lots more!

Expect big smiles and plenty of ‘I didn’t know NSmen did THAT!’ moments.

TYPES OF CAMPS

We have camps with customised programmes for children, families and women.

Children's Camps Providing a fun child-friendly introduction to NS, these SAF-themed camps are held at SAFRA Yishun, mostly spanning 3D2N. They include: Basic Military Training Children’s Edition (BMTCE) Basic Diver Training Children’s Edition (BDTCE) Basic Flyer Training Children’s Edition (BFTCE) Basic Intelligence Training Children’s Edition (BITCE) Special Forces Training Children’s Edition (SFTCE) Children can start by participating in the BMTCE. Subsequently, they can advance to the other specialised camps such as the BDTCE, BFTCE, BITCE and SFTCE. For more information, check the Camp Schedule below. Who can register: Children aged 5 to 12 years.

Family Camps Providing plenty of fun-filled family bonding moments, these 2D1N camps are held at different SAFRA clubs. They include: NS Experience Family Camp Army Edition NS Experience Family Camp Navy Edition NS Experience Family Camp Air Force Edition For more information, check the Camp Schedule below. Who can register: Parents and children.

NS For Everyone Families, children, youths and individuals can participate in this 1D NS-inspired camp. Suitable for those who are looking for a more compact experience without the need to stay overnight. For more information, check the Camp Schedule below. Who can register: Open to all aged 3 and above.

Empowering NS for Women These 2D1N camps for females provide a taste of NS so that participants can better relate to the experience of their male family members and peers and gain a deeper understanding of their role in national defence. For more information, check the Camp Schedule below. Who can register: Females aged 13 to 30 years.
