| Where the Wildflowers Grow: Rooted by Kester Wong and Tan Shao Qi (Free) Where the Wildflowers Grow: Rooted reimagines the wildflower as a symbol of resilience, renewal and collective belonging. Inspired by the way wildflowers take root in unexpected and overlooked spaces, the installation reflects how myths, stories and traditions endure across generations, continually adapting while remaining connected to their origins. The illuminated flowers evoke an imagined landscape shaped by nature, memory and folklore. Each bloom stands as an individual presence, carrying its own story, yet together they form a shared field of light. Like myths passed from one generation to another, their meanings are sustained through gathering, retelling and collective care. As visitors touch the flowers, the flora begin to glow and sway, their movements lingering within the space. Each interaction awakens a response, while the combined gestures of many visitors gradually transform the garden into a space animated by collective movement. Through this ever-shifting landscape, the installation invites visitors to encounter tradition not as something fixed in the past, but as a living inheritance, shaped and renewed by every person who carries it forward. |
| 戏曲出走 Breaking the Opera Walls (Free) by Traditional Arts Centre Performers dressed in traditional Chinese opera costumes step beyond the stage and into everyday spaces at the SAC. Moving through different corners, they bring classic roles to life in proximity to the audience. Each 15-minute “walk” includes carefully choreographed pauses, inviting passersby to encounter Chinese opera in unexpected moments. By taking opera out of the theatre and into daily life, the experience allows everyone to see, feel, and connect with the unique charm of this art form in a more immediate and accessible way. |

| Origami Lamp Workshop (Parent-Child Session) by Japanese Cultural Society (Ticketed) A dedicated parent-child session designed for families to create their own illuminated Origami Lamp in this guided workshop, where participants will learn to fold a striking paper lamp from a single A3 sheet. Each parent-child pair will receive a mini touch LED light to complete their creation and bring home as a unique keepsake. |
| Journey to the West (Kathakali) by Bhaskar's Arts Academy (Free) The Chinese classic Journey to the West is given a Kathakali twist in this thrilling episode called "Lady Spiders". The monk Tang Sanzang, while asking for alms, stumbles upon a home of a pretty young girl. She is however actually a spider demon in disguise, hoping to eat his flesh and acquire immortality. Only the discerning and valiant Monkey God Sun Wukong sees through its tricks and comes to the monk's rescue. |
