Pre National Service (NS) Talk For Parents & Sons

National Service is an important milestone that contributes to building resilience, responsibility, and commitment to the nation.

Enlistment marks a significant milestone, for both pre-enlistees and their families. The Pre-NS Talks at SAFRA are designed to help both pre-enlistees and parents better understand what to expect during Basic Military Training (BMT), so you can step into this journey feeling informed, prepared, and confident.

Hear firsthand from experienced voices, including former Commander of SAF BMTC BG (Ret) Ishak Ismail, NS Commander COL (NS) Darren Tan, as well as NSFs and their parents who have gone through the experience. Gain practical insights, real-life perspectives, and pick up useful tips on physical and mental preparation to ease the transition into National Service.

Beyond the Pre-NS talk, explore hands-on activities and interactive booths at the NS Experiential Zone designed to give pre-enlistees a better understanding of NS life. From fitness preparation through the EnergyOne NS Ready programme, to learning essential life skills such as mental resilience and financial literacy, participants will gain valuable knowledge to better prepare for both NS and life ahead.

Connect with fellow pre-enlistees, share experiences, and start building camaraderie even before enlistment day.
