Event Guide

Event Day Procedures:

  • Upon check-in, please proceed to the holding area for the race commencement.
  • SAFRA Diaper Dash participants are to race in the SAFRA Diaper Dash event tee and diaper with the provided race bib during Race Pack Collection.
  • After the race, each SAFRA Diaper Dash participant will receive a finisher race medal.
  • All SAFRA Diaper Dash participants will be automatically indemnified for the event.

 

Race Mechanism:

  • SAFRA Diaper Dash participants are randomly pre-assigned to compete in groups of 15 in intervals of 10 minutes.
  • Parents will be informed on the allocated race slot and time during Race Pack Collection Day on 16 and 17 May 2026.
  • Participants are advised to report 1 hour before the allocated race time for the race check-in procedures. Failure to do so will be handled on a case-to-case basis.
  • Timing will begin the moment the Emcee says “GO” and end once the child finishes the race requirement.
  • Families for Life Leopard Crawlers: Babies MUST crawl along the 3-metres race course and pass the finish line to be deemed successful in completing the race. Walking babies will be repositioned by their parents to the last crawling point to continue the race.
    • For fair competition, all babies in the Families for Life Leopard Crawlers race categories will be placed in a seated and ready to crawl position at the starting line.
    • Parents must not lift their child off the race mat or push the baby until he/she passes the finish line and time is clocked.
  • Diaper Dash Freestylers: All babies will begin the race in a seated position. Babies can freestyle the moment the Emcee says “GO” and MUST cross the 3-metres (for 10 - 14 months)/ 5-metres (for 15 - 18 months) racecourse and finish line to be deemed successful in completing the race.
  • Families For Life Defence Dasher: Participants must carry the provided limited edition event plushie across the 5-metres race course and place it in the designated holder to be deemed successful in completing the race.
  • Incompletion of the race will results in disqualification.
  • Each SAFRA Diaper Dash participant who participated in the race will be awarded with a finisher race medal upon completion of the race. 

 

Race Rules & Regulations:

  • SAFRA Diaper Dash participants are randomly pre-assigned to compete in groups of 15 in intervals of 10 minutes.
  • Timing will start when the emcee says “GO”, and time is clocked once the child finishes the race requirement. 
  • Parents are not allowed to push their child off the start line when the emcee says “GO”.
  • Parents are allowed to bring toys, snacks and any other possible props to attract their child to cross the finishing line. All parents must attract their child from the finish line and must not throw their items towards their child.
  • Parents are also not allowed to touch other SAFRA Diaper Dash participants.
  • Parents must not lift their child off the race mat or push the baby until he/she passes the finish line and time is clocked.
  • Only one parent is allowed on each end of the race course (start and end point of the assigned lanes).
  • SAFRA Diaper Dash participants must pass the finish line of the 3 or 5 metres race mat and complete the race requirement to be deemed successful at completing the race.
  • For the safety of other participants, no footwear is allowed on the race course and parents must not enter the race lanes once the race starts.
  • SAFRA Diaper Dash participants are allowed to continue to race despite shifting lanes during the race.
  • Crying SAFRA Diaper Dash participants are allowed to be removed from the race course by parents but will be considered disqualified. Incompletion of the race will result in disqualification and all participants will only race once.
  • The race will continue despite participants staying stagnant in the race lane until the rest of the participants have crossed the finish line. The maximum time for each group is 10 minutes.
  • Parents are not allowed to switch positions when the race is ongoing.
  • For the Families For Life Defence Dasher Category, parents are not allowed to touch the designated holder when the race is ongoing. If the holder is found to have been moved from the original position, the participant will be disqualified.
  • Any appeal after the race is chargeable at $50 inclusive of GST. The window for appeal will be opened for 15 minutes after the allocated wave timing. The Event Organiser’s decision for appeal is final. 
  • For any appeal, the footage will be based on the official event recording. Personal devices or recording will not be used for appeal. 
  • For SAFRA Diaper Dash participants: In the race pack, participants will receive an event T-shirt . All participants must wear the event’s T-shirt and a personal diaper to compete in SAFRA Diaper Dash. Please paste the race bib sticker on the back of the child’s diaper during the race check-in. Parents are responsible for their allocated race bib and any replacements are chargeable.
  • For participating adults: Only 2 adults are allowed on the racecourse. Parents are advised to dress appropriately as bending and squatting down position may be required when assisting their child.
  • All participating children will be awarded with a finisher race medal upon completion of the race. The top 3 participants of each race category will also receive a SAFRA Diaper Dash trophy.
  • SAFRA Diaper Dash 2026 will be held indoors at SAFRA Punggol, Level 3,  Atrium on 23 May & 24 May 2026. All races will proceed in the event of inclement weather.
  • The final race rules & regulations will be briefed to the event participants during the pre-race briefing.

** Please note that only Singaporeans /PRs will be eligible for the prizes.

 

Medical and Safety:

  • The Organiser has taken all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of all SAFRA Diaper Dash participants and will not be responsible for any injury sustained, loss of or damage to personal property during the race.
  • For SAFRA Diaper Dash participants who are feeling unwell up to 3 days before the race, parents are advised to determine if they are physically well enough to continue with the race. Please note that there will be no refunds for no-shows.
  • All SAFRA Diaper Dash participants have been automatically indemnified upon registration.

 

Pram and Baggage Deposit:

  • There will be a pram and baggage deposit on the race days at SAFRA Punggol, Level 3, Atrium. All prams are to be collected by 6pm on the event day.
  • The Organiser will not be responsible for any loss or damage, personal or otherwise, to the belongings and items deposited.

 

Nursing Pods:

  • There are two (2) nursing pods within the event area.
  • The Organisers will not be responsible for any loss or damage of personal belongings while using the Nursing Pods.
  • Access is strictly permitted to nursing mothers or female caretakers and babies.

 

Diaper Changing Rooms: 

  • Family rooms are located at SAFRA Punggol Get Fit Studio at L3. Wristbands will be given out during registration and verification will be required before entry into the rooms. All rooms are of individual cubicles and are equipped with limited amenities. Parents are expected to bring their personal amenities deemed necessary.
  • The Organiser will not be responsible for any loss or damage of personal belongings.
