EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

Unveil of Defence Wall Mural

As a key highlight of the SAF Day: Mission Ready event, the unveiling of the Defence Wall Mural celebrates Singapore’s defence journey and the collective efforts that contribute to Total Defence. The mural depicts the evolution of Singapore’s defence from the early years to the modern era, featuring the four services of the SAF and highlighting the importance of community support, unity, and shared responsibility in safeguarding the nation.

The mural is co-created with the community, involving residents from Keat Hong and Chua Chu Kang, as well as students from NurtureStars, reflecting the strong partnership between the SAF and the community. Through this artwork, participants are invited to appreciate the commitment, sacrifices, and contributions of NSmen and the wider defence community.

Go beyond the artwork and scan the mural to unlock an exclusive Augmented Reality (AR) experience. Step into an immersive journey through Singapore’s story of defence as the mural comes to life, bringing stories of service, resilience and community spirit into an engaging interactive experience.

NS Experiential Zone (Pre-registration Required)

Join us at the NS Experiential Zone and step into the world of National Service through a series of fun and interactive activities. Participants can take on various stations such as IPPT-inspired challenges, radio communications, camouflage, field pack preparation, navigation, obstacle course, and shooting activities to experience some of the skills and challenges faced by NSmen.

Come be part of this immersive experience, test your teamwork and abilities, and discover the values behind National Service. Through hands-on participation, participants will gain a better understanding and appreciation of the commitment, resilience, and dedication of our NSmen. 

Participants will receive a military pin badge, camo-designed recycling bag, a solar-powered hand fan, a traditional biscuit in a combat ration packet and vouchers!

NS Experiential Zone: IPPT Station

Put your strength, stamina and agility to the test in this fun-sized IPPT-inspired challenge! Take on exciting activity stations, challenge your limits and enjoy a fun and engaging experience.

NS Experiential Zone: Camouflage Station

Step into the Camouflage Station and discover how camouflage plays a vital role in helping soldiers stay concealed and mission ready in the field. Take on the interactive “Spot the Soldiers!” challenge and test your observation skills by identifying camouflaged and non-camouflaged soldiers hidden within jungle scenes.

Participants can also experience military-style face camouflage using safe, washable camouflage cream before striking a pose at the themed photo frame for a memorable keepsake. Share your experience on social media with #WeSaluteOurNSmen and show your appreciation for the skills and dedication of our NSmen.

NS Experiential Zone: Radio Comms & Navigation Station

Step into the Radio Comms & Navigation Station and discover how communication and navigation work together in military operations. Learn basic radio communication techniques, practise transmitting messages, and take on simple map reading and navigation challenges. Test your teamwork, coordination, and decision making skills while gaining a greater appreciation of how our NSmen stay connected and mission ready in the field.

NS Experiential Zone: Field Pack Station

Get hands-on and discover how soldiers prepare for missions and outfield training by learning the essentials of field pack packing. Find out how items are organised for efficiency, readiness and carrying comfort in this interactive experience.

NS Experiential Zone: Obstacle Course Station

Take on a mini military-inspired obstacle course and put your agility, balance and teamwork to the test! Navigate through a series of fun challenges, work together and experience the excitement of overcoming obstacles as a team.

NS Experiential Zone: Shooting Station

Experience the excitement of shooting using safe foam blasters! Put your aim and focus to the test in this fun and interactive activity, held in collaboration with Kranji Secondary School.

Engagement Zone

Discover the different groups and communities that play a part in building a stronger Singapore at the Engagement Zone. Featuring interactive showcases and activities by partners such as the Scouts Association, National Cadet Corps, and ITE West, participants can take part in experiences including simple knot-tying activities, precision drills, and an AI-powered BMT chatbot showcase.

Explore, interact, and learn more about the values of teamwork, discipline, and service through these engaging activities. The Engagement Zone provides an opportunity for participants to connect with community partners and gain a deeper appreciation of the collective effort that supports National Defence.

Engagement Zone: Scouts Showcase by Scouts Association with Bukit Panjang Government High School Scouts

Visit the Scouts Showcase and discover the fundamentals of scouting through a hands on Simple Knots Activity. Participants can learn basic knot tying techniques, put their skills to the test, and earn a stamp as they complete the activity.

Engagement Zone: BMT Chatbot Showcase by ITE College West AI Course Students

Interact with an AI chatbot developed by ITE College West AI Course students and explore all about Basic Military Training (BMT). Ask questions, discover useful insights, and learn more about the BMT experience through this interactive showcase.

Engagement Zone: Precision Drill Squad Performance by Kranji Secondary School NCC (Land)

Catch a captivating display by the Precision Drill Squad from Kranji Secondary School NCC (Land) as they demonstrate discipline, teamwork and synchronised drill movements through an impressive precision performance.

Interactive Zone

Experience a range of hands-on activities designed for participants of all ages at the Interactive Zone.

From taking part in a community co-created art installation with Keat Hong Citizens' Consultative Committee, to exploring the Drone Soccer activity by Association Drone Soccer Singapore and trying out the Kids SAF Uniform Experience by Defence Collective Singapore, participants can also catch an exciting Military Working Dogs (MWDs) demonstration by the Republic of Singapore Air Force, showcasing the agility, discipline, and capabilities of these highly trained military dogs. With creative, interactive, and family-friendly activities throughout the event, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Interactive Zone: Craft Activity by Keat Hong CACC

Get hands on with creative fun with craft activities by Keat Hong CACC. Try Noodle Coloring, explore the art of Calligraphy, and create your own personalised Shrink Art keepsake in this family friendly experience for all ages.

Interactive Zone: Drone Soccer by Association Drone Soccer Singapore

Discover the exciting world of drone technology at the ADSS showcase and get hands on with the Drone Navigation Challenge. Participants can learn more about how drones operate, explore flight concepts, and put their skills to the test by navigating through a fun and interactive course designed for all ages.

Interactive Zone: Kids Uniform Try-Out

Families can enjoy a fun and memorable dress-up photo opportunity where children can suit up in uniforms from the four SAF services and capture their very own mission-ready moment. A perfect activity for young ones to experience and celebrate the spirit of service through play and photos.

Interactive Zone: Military Working Dogs demonstration by the Republic of Singapore Air Force

Catch an exciting Military Working Dog (MWD) demonstration by the RSAF, where highly trained dogs and their handlers showcase their skills, discipline and teamwork in action. Experience the precision, agility and strong bond between handler and dog through an engaging live showcase that highlights their important role in supporting operations and defence.

Interactive Zone: Air Force Simulator by the Republic of Singapore Air Force

Participants can explore the fundamentals of flight operations through an interactive simulation experience. Test your coordination and reaction skills while experiencing the excitement of piloting and navigating challenges in a fun and engaging environment.

Stand a chance to win exciting military-themed prizes at the Gachapon Redemption station! SAFRA members who pre-register for the event and complete the NS Experiential Zone activities can redeem a token to try their luck at the Gachapon machine.

Test your knowledge with a fun quiz, answer questions about National Defence, and walk away with a special prize - including the chance to bring home a Military Bear Plushie (WORTH $15.90). Complete the challenge, spin the machine, and add a memorable memento to your Mission Ready experience.
