Share your stories or reflections from your service, and show how the values of preparedness, responsibility and resilience can inspire sustainable habits, strengthen communities, and reinforce Singapore’s Economic Defence by encouraging resourcefulness, adaptability and doing our part for a resilient nation. 

  

A total of 6 stories will be selected. Selected stories will be featured at our atrium art installation, alongside the item mentioned in each story. Participants will need to provide the item for display. Participants of selected stories will also receive a token of appreciation.

🚲Ride The Watts

Hop on and help us reach a collective target of 1,200,000 watts!

Ride the Watts is a live cycling challenge across three Concept2 bikes, running throughout the day.

The moment you start pedalling, your watt output is captured wirelessly and displayed live on our LED screen. No teams, no registration, no time slots, ride for 2 minutes or 20. Every watt you generate adds to our shared total.

A 1,200,000-watt (1,200kW) power source is powerful enough to supply electricity to thousands of average-sized homes during an outage, including heavy loads such as central air conditioning, electric water heaters, refrigerators, pumps, lighting, and electronics simultaneously.

As the numbers climb, it’s a powerful reminder of economic defence in action: using energy wisely, reducing dependence on resources, and strengthening resilience through collective effort.

Track your individual output, see the combined live watts, or watch the odometer grow, proof that when we act together, even small efforts can power a stronger and more sustainable Singapore.
